Which type of dog training are you interested in? Puppy school (dogs under 7 months) or Daycare Training (for adult dogs)

Puppy School

ALC’s puppy school provides a mixture of socialization with other dogs that match your pet’s current level of comfort, physical exercise, nap time, and half an hour of training.

MONDAY – FRIDAY 8:00 AM – 6 PM
Drop off between 8-10 AM, pick up between 3-7 PM

Training sessions are performed one-on-one with your dog and the trainer. We take video of what we work on and send homework each time. The exercises will advance with each session and we will want you to send us an update on how things are going in your practice before the next session.

We work on all basic manners including: sit, stay, down, off, drop it, come, leave it, wait, look, basic leash walking and general patience skills. We also practice comfort with being touched (paws, ears, belly, and other areas your vet or groomer may need to examine) as well as basic grooming (nail trims, ear cleaning, brushing and baths). We engage with brain games and puzzle toys for focus. We can tailor training sessions around what you are most struggling with at home after we set a foundation with basic commands.

Requirements: For puppies 16 weeks to seven months of age. Puppies must first be registered and attend two-three daycare sessions to get used to the environment/socialization before training begins

Cost $65/day OR purchase a 25 pack for $100 off

See our puppy school flyer for more details!

Daycare Training

Our daycare training program provides a mixture of socialization and physical exercise, nap time, and half an hour of training.

MONDAY – FRIDAY 8:00 AM – 7 PM
Drop off between 8-10 AM, pick up between 3-7 PM

Dog training sessions are performed one-on-one with your dog and the trainer. We take video of what we work on and send homework each time. The exercises will advance with each session and we will want you to send us an update on how things are going in your practice before the next session.

We review current level of skill and reinforce all basic manners including: sit, stay, come, down, off, drop it, leave it, wait, look, and settle. We also practice calm and structured leash walking (allowing collars and leashes to be put on without jumping/barking/nuisance behaviors, waiting patiently at doors, heeling without pulling or tugging, remaining in heel, sitting at corners, allowing dogs, car, trucks, bicyclists, scooters, and humans to pass, going to the bathroom on-command, and moving it along when necessary) off-leash recall, greeting new people and dogs in a polite manner, exercising patience in exciting and distracting situations, sharing with other animals, and managing problem behaviors such as jumping, barking, door rushing, social anxiety, separation anxiety, crate training, and pulling on leash. We can tailor training sessions around what you are most struggling with at home after we set a foundation with basic commands as well as offer recommendations on walking equipment and other tools to help you succeed. The daycare environment allows us to practice around other dogs, new people, with various smells, sights and sounds, and other challenging distractions that make at-home practice easy-peasy in comparison!

Please note: This program is NOT for dogs in need of behavior modification for issues such as aggression, difficulty being with other dogs or people, chronic behavior issues not resolved with other methods of training.

Requirements: For dogs eight months of age and older. Dog must first be registered and attend two-three daycare sessions to get used to the environment/socialization before training begins

Cost $85/day OR purchase a 25 pack for $100 off
